Perfect Sunday
I knew the Sunday drive in the 66 Vette was going to be hard to top, but today came close. Just a beautiful day. Abby & Erin's faces say it all, but since I am a wordy guy, I won't stop there. Pictures are worth a thousand words. Here are thousands and thousands of words about today. Finally a baseball free weekend.
We capitalized by going ballooning this evening. First time for us this summer. After the charity flight that started in Dunlap and landed gently at the Peoria Soccer Club fields in Mossville, Kathy decided to tether the balloon and have some fun. Josh took a tethered ride in the wind-free field. The rides continued for a while and she spiced it up a bit. Anyone who wanted to could hang on to one of the basket handles and ride on the outside. More people took her up on it than I ever thought would. It is a minute or so of literally hanging on for dear life. You can't let go until the burn is over and the balloon decides to decend. Pretty fun stuff. Just making memories, people.
